| July 21 | "IMAGE EVALUATION" with BILL FRIEDMAN | If you will be attending the meeting, you (both exhibiting and non-exhibiting members) are encouraged to submit two images that you might consider using in future competition. Bill will not know the author of the images and will offer some suggestions as to how they might be improved for competitive purposes, as well as discussing their strengths. Please email your images (same as competition size—1024 x 768 pixel maximum) to Barbara Miller so that they arrive no later than Friday, July 11, 2008 (bembrit@bellsouth.net). If you have not yet participated in club competitions, please feel free to email Barbara (bembrit@bellsouth.net) for instructions on how to size and send the images.

| August 18 | Before and After | A “before and after” program; that is, you may submit up to two “photoshopped” images, as well as the image (or images) before alterations were made. Use 768 vertical and 1024 horizontal pixels as your maximum size. Please use your competition code in titling these images; then send them to Michael Rosenbaum (polyandy@comcast.net) by Friday, August 8. If you have any questions about sizing or coding, etc., please email Michael before sending the images. At the August 18 meeting, there will be ballots distributed, and the photographer whose “before and after” receives the most votes will be awarded a prize. PLEASE NOTE: This “competition” is a stand-alone contest and is not counted towards the end of year competition nor your scores for the year. |
